In September 2023, Project 18 Pty Ltd became certified as a Social Enterprise by Social Traders.
A Social Traders certified social enterprise is defined by three key criteria:
- A primary social, cultural, or environmental purpose delivering public or community benefit.
- A significant portion of income generated through trade.
- Prioritization of public/community benefit over private gain.

Project 18 addresses gaps in systems and services with Jodie providing pro-bono and low-bono counselling and advocacy to children, young people, and families who are unable to access to support. This aligns with the social enterprise impact model: “Community need—delivering accessible products and services to meet unmet community needs.”

Social Traders certification is a rigorous process requiring verification of 200 data points to ensure compliance with its world-leading framework. For Project 18, certification aims to strengthen its impact and demonstrate how small businesses can combine passion, purpose, and meaningful community benefit.
